Privacy Policy
Friends of Pittock believes you have the fundamental right of privacy both on and off the web and we work vigorously to protect your privacy to the best of our ability.
This policy applies to all pages hosted by Friends of Pittock. It does not apply to pages hosted by other organizations to which we may link and whose policies differ.
We do not collect personally identifiable information on our web site unless you voluntarily choose to give it to us via this web site, e-mail, a phone call, by signing up as a member or donor, or by postal mail. Even when you choose to give us information, we keep it confidential, and we bind suppliers who work with us by these conditions as well.
We do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise generate mailing lists or other personally identifiable information outside Friends of Pittock.
Friends of Pittock does not disclose personal information without your consent. We do reserve the right to disclose personal information to a third party if a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order legally requires or authorizes us to do so.
We do not provide mailing lists to outside agencies that work on our behalf unless they agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We will never send unsolicited materials as a result of signing a petition.
If you make a donation or become a member of Friends of Pittock you may be given the option to receive a newsletter or further information. Again, you will always be given the option to decline. You may revoke your permission to use your information to provide these services to you at any time by contacting privacy@friendsofpittock.ca or calling 519-539-4900.
We maintain records of donors and members who contact us for further information, financial auditing or help in case we need to contact them later or provide further information to them in the future. However, we do not provide this information to anyone else unless you give us your permission, and we do not use this information for other purposes.
All of your information is restricted. Only Committee Members who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our donation officers) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our Committee Members must use password-protected computer systems to access your personal information. Furthermore, all Committee Members who handle membership/donor information are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Our Committee Members are notified and reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our supporters' information is protected.
If you have any questions about the information we maintain about your supporter details please contact privacy@friendsofpittock.ca or 519-539-4900.
By signing up as a member or donor, you accept this privacy policy and authorize Friends of Pittock to collect, store and process your information in the ways mentioned above and for the purposes you submitted it.
Our security measures and this policy are reviewed on a regular basis. If you have any questions relating to this policy, please address them to:
